AN EVENING AT THE STRAND. We welcome the AAUW Meeting and music will be provided by Jonathan Newell on piano.  The program begins with an opportunity to discover the evolving beauty and dignity of the Strand Theater, the area’s newest music and performance venue. If you have not yet been there, you are in for a special experience.

Jonathan Newell, founder and executive director of the Hudson River Music Hall, will present a visual history of the Strand, a former movie house, and share with us the vision for what it will become. It is a monumental work in progress, and at the conclusion of his presentation he will play selections on the Steinway piano in the theater, which has phenomenal acoustics that only add to his skill as a musician.
