Tony Wu and Elise Lunder, classical piano and violin

Elise Lunder studies violin performance at Bennington College. She has played in ensembles such as Sage City Symphony, the University of Vermont Symphony orchestra, and alongside members of The Philadelphia Orchestra during her time in the Philadelphia International Music Festival student soloist program. Outside of the college, she plays revolutionary folk tunes in a duo at many historical events throughout Vermont and Upstate New York.

 

Tony Lu, B.A. from Bennington College with concentrations in Mathematics, History and Piano Performance. Born in Wuhan, China in 1997, Tony started learning and playing the piano at age 5 and due to his visual impairment, he has always learned music by ear. Tony began to study in the US in 2013 and has performed with various different chamber music groups and orchestras both in high school and college. He recently performed the Brahms D Minor Piano Concerto with Sage City Symphony. Tony has worked closely and performed with many Bennington College music faculty, including Christopher Lewis, Yoshiko Sato, Joan Forsyth, Nathaniel Parke, Kaori Washiyama, and Allen Shawn, both on and off campus. Tony also worked as a piano tutor, music history, & analysis lecturer, and accompanist helping students in the music department. Together, Tony is also an active faculty member of Sonata International Piano Camp and Summer Sonatina International Piano Camp in Bennington, VT.
