Professor Louie & The Crowmatix from Woodstock NY have been performing since the year 2000 at numerous Festivals, Theaters, Clubs and Art Centers averaging 150 shows a year.
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix shows’ presents a diverse set list from this stellar roots crew of Original songs, Blues and select songs that Louie learned directly from The Band and material he helped create with them including their comeback hits Atlantic City, Blind Willie McTell.
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix latest recording Strike Up The Band released in 2022 on The Woodstock Records label has received fantastic reviews and on The Roots Music Radio Charts in the top 30 since it’s release, their single Work It Out has been # 7 On The Contemporary Blues Charts &
# 1 song on the NY Charts, they have 16 studio CD’s on Woodstock Records.

This Grammy Nominated Woodstock All-star group, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix began as the studio-backing band for Aaron Professor Louie’s musical productions for The Band. Rick Danko, bass player and singer of The Band christened him - Professor Louie - due to his work with them. Louie collaborated with The Band Co-producing their last three CD’s in the 90’s.
